SSI Business Website Template – 1005B

Description

A professional looking business website template with time-saving SSI files to handle all your navigation, CSS drop-down navigation system, and auto updating copyright year.

Using Includes allows you to make changes across your entire site by editing just the Include files.

There is one main template (_template.shtml) which you copy to create all your content and category pages along with one set of time-saving Includes:

• ads.shtml – optional – Banner or Adsense or whatever ads you use.
• footer.shtml – Your copyright message, links and auto-updating copyright year.
• header.shtml – Site Title and Slogan.
• leftnav.shtml – Left Navigation Sidebar.
• rightnav.shtml – Right Navigation Sidebar.
• topnav.shtml – Multi level CSS drop-down navigation system.

Make changes to any of the above Includes any time you want to add a new link to your navigation, change your ads, or experiment with a new site name.

Even though you may have thousands of content pages, editing just the Includes will update your entire site instantly!

The header Include does not contain any metadata which means you can still maintain a unique Title and Description for each page.

This SSI website template is well commented which makes it easy to copy/add/remove content blocks or re-order specific containers.

A note about ads.php

If you don’t want to use my Include to display ads on your pages (ads.php), delete the Include command from the main template (_template.php)

The Include command looks like this: <?php include(“ads.php”); ?>

If you want to change the position of the ad block, simply relocate the Include command to the beginning or the end of a post block. The Include command can be positioned multiple times if so desired.

The template is well commented so don’t worry too much about moving things around. However, remember to make a backup of the entire template folder before sinking your teeth into it.
